Feb 16, 2019Savard) Doyon, 90, of Lewiston, peacefully passed away on Thursday Jan. 31, 2019, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emeria (Simard) Savard. She grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools there. On June 4, 1949 she married her love, E. Roger Doyon and they started a family together. During that time she worked as a hand and sole tacker for Clark Shoe, as well as other various occupations, until her retirement.She will always be remembered for her love of traveling, dancing, reading, creating crafts, shopping, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many.She is survived by her loving husband, E. Roger Doyon of Lewiston; her children, Richard and Suzanne Doyon of Auburn, Daniel and Maureen Doyon of Lewiston, Michael and Tania Doyon of Lewiston and Marc and Stacey Doyon of Westbrook. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Timothy Doyon, Tamara Kimball, Laurie Doyon and her husband Craig Sinclair, Jeffrey Doyon, Katie Doyon and her wife, Debbie Canada, Stephen Doyon and his wife, Angela Cole, Jason Doyon and his wife, Kathleen and Tracy Bemis and her husband, James; as well as her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Brady, Hannah, Eric, Logan, Caleb, Brent and Ava. She was predeceased by her sisters, Adrienne Bissonnette and Laurianne Poulin; and a great-grandson, Cooper Doyon-Canada.Condolences may be shared with Georgette’s family at www.thefortingroupauburn.comThe family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of 4 West at d’Youville Pavilion and Beacon Hospice, especially Jaimie, for the care and compassion they showed Georgette during her time with them.Visitation will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Thursday February 7, from 9-11 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word prayer service at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
